New Photographer's Special - Friday's & Saturdays 10:30am

Pre-register for the opportunity to take close-up photos of Ted, Lucky & Honey. The Bear-keepers will arrange a variety of wild and supplemental foods in a natural setting to attract the bears. The Keepers will answer questions and provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing for current weather conditions.
Behind the Scenes-- Saturday once a month Pre-register $8.00

An in-depth look at how Ted, Lucky & Honey live. Their den, Enclosure and foods. Field trips possible to collect den bedding or wild foods. Limit 20
Earth Creepers-- Saturday once a month Pre-register $7.00

Come and learn about the forest after dark. This year we will explore the "Bats" world. Children & Adults limit 10 * children must be accompanied by adult
Ursa Major-- Star gazing at the North American Bear Center begins Pre-register $7.00
August date to be announced.
Stories of some of the well known constellations, take a look through our telescope and explore the stars and visible planets. After dark program, bring a lawn chair.

10:00am-2:00pm.
Children ages 8-11 will experience our hiking trail, learn bear foods, visit an abandoned den, tracking beds and much more. Each students receives a Jr. Biologist certificate from the North American Bear Center
Bear Enrichment Plus
Watch the bears as they discover new wild foods and a variety of new supplemental foods. This year there will be new and exciting changes to this program, we hope you will participate in this late afternoon program.
Bears & Birdfeeders
The do's and don'ts of spring time bird feeders. Share your stories and pictures during this afternoon program at the Bear Center
Bear 101
Bear ancestry, anatomy and ecology will be discussed and questions will be taken about Ted, Honey & Lucky and our wild research bears.
Introducing Our Bears
A brief history of Ted, Honey and Lucky - their past revealed.
Junior Biologist
Children learn how researchers find collared bears. Using our stuffed bear mascot Marbles, children will do field measurements on our mascot in her den.
Living and Hiking in Bear Country
How to hike, camp and live in bear country safely.
Myth Busters
Myth surround the timid American black bear. This lecture separates facts and myths.
Nature Rocks
A guided nature walk identifies a variety of wild flowers and trees located around the Ely area. It also offers insight into wild bear foods and their habitat.
Tracking Our Research Bears
Learn how our field researchers collar bears and use telemetry to locate them in the wild.
The North American Bear Center Announces Black Bear Connections- Special programs for the summer months.
